I am a dedicated dancer whose journey began at age three, nurtured by the disciplines of Ballet, Chinese dance, Latin dance, Contemporary and street styles such as Hip Hop and Jazz Funk. My diverse training has cultivated a unique artistic vocabulary that informs every movement I make.

Early on, I discovered that dance is not only a form of personal expression but also a powerful way to connect with others and celebrate cultural diversity. Through leadership roles such as Dance President at CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School and Dance Captain at Eunoia Junior College, I have embraced opportunities to teach, choreograph, and inspire.

Concept video: HeartWork series

During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, I had the opportunity to channel my passion for storytelling and movement into a heartfelt project as part of the HeartWork series. This concept video was created to capture the raw, personal narratives of our youth in Singapore — exploring academic struggles, family hardships, self-discovery, and the journey of coming-of-age.

Collaborating with four friends, I conceptualised, directed, and choreographed the project with the aim of bringing art closer to home during challenging times. Our work not only offered a reflective and intimate experience for viewers but also supported local music and gave back to the arts community when it needed it the most.

Unifying through movement

As we grow older, it's often difficult to form new meaningful relationships, and that's why my dance community remains so dear to me! Dance creates many opportunities to unite people and build a community, outside of work. Having encountered unsupportive and adverse environments, I'm passionate about cultivating a dance culture that is inclusive, empowering, and accessible!
